is it wise to go to university?

Hi there!

First, how do you define wise? Is “doing the right thing” wise, or is “not doing things you will regret” wise?

I would go to university because the things we learn in high school are not enough for my dream career. To make sure I have the life I want in the future, I plan to go to university. However, everybody’s plans and dreams are different. People may expect high school graduates to go to college right after, but that is not necessarily the wisest thing to do. It all depends on what your passion is and what you see yourself doing in the future. Don’t think plainly about whether to go to university or what others would think about you if you go/don’t go to university. Instead, think about how four years in university would fit into your future plans and dreams; think about whether you would regret it if you didn’t go to university. It might be a wise choice in some people’s lives, but it might not be as wise in others’.

Good luck!
