What are some Halloween costume ideas that are cost efficient?

Hi, thanks for asking! Even though we’re currently in the midst of spring, here are some cost-efficient Halloween costumes that hopefully inspire you for the next Halloween season!

1. The classic bedsheet ghost

Starting with the easiest and cheapest option from the list: the classic bedsheet ghost! Make sure you cut two holes so you can see, though. If you’re feeling extra, you can slap on a pair of sunglasses for added swagginess.

2. Mime

For something with more mobility, try a mime! This one’s easy to recreate as you only need a black striped shirt, black bottoms, and some makeup. Also, be prepared to act out a scene if someone happens to ask!

3. Mummy

This one involves a bit more work than the other ones, but also fun to do. Try cutting up old white fabric into long strips, then wrapping them around your body. Remember to not make it too tight so you don’t die from poor blood circulation (notice how “corpse” isn’t a costume on this list).

4. Cactus

For something more unique and crafty, try a cactus! This involves gluing small cutouts of paper onto a green sweater to resemble the thorns of a cactus. You can also cut out a flower shape from pink or white paper as decoration.

Remember that the best costumes are the ones that you like and feel confident in, but while doing so, you may also want to save a dollar or two. I hope some of these cost-efficient ideas can get you thinking of what to wear on Halloween!

Cheers,
