Will BS get me through hs

Dear client,

We must first define what “BS” is. According to Urban Dictionary, BS refers to lies or “untrue stuff”. Then, we will assume “getting through HS” means passing and graduating from high school.

First of all, “BS” will certainly not help you in courses that require strong logical reasoning, such as mathematics and physics where there is almost an exact answer for every question. Thus, “lies” and “untrue stuff” certainly will not bypass the sharp eyes of your math and science teacher.

Now, the idea of BS-ing in more subjective courses such as English is a more interesting question since there is almost always space for debate and alternative interpretations. In cases like this, often times, what you think is “BS” is not actual “BS”. You might think it is BS because it is an analysis or argument you find unconvincing or too much of a stretch. Nevertheless, these are logical guesses that you made based on some prior knowledge that are somewhat true to an extent. Moreover, social studies and language classes always tell you to use evidence and explanations to support your opinions; thus, as long as you support your argument with some evidence and explanation (even if your argument appears to be entirely off-topic), it is probably not complete BS.

Overall, the conclusion is that pure and true BS will NOT “get you through high school” under ISB’s graduation requirements since you will likely fail your math and science course, but more importantly, it is impossible to BS all the time (like, literally)!

Hope this helps,
