We highly praise great musicians. But some are given too much credit and quality than what they are. Bands like KISS, U2, AC/DC, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc. But I think that Nirvana is the most overrated musician. Nirvana, of course, wrote some excellent songs. However, that was it. They are considered one of the best bands in history because of one or two pieces they made. And all their three studio albums are a mixture of soft, personal songs with hard grunge tracks where you can’t understand what Kurt Cobain (singer) is saying. And since their songs are simple, they gain fame from the public, overshadowing other musically talented bands. Kurt wasn’t the best guitarist, and the other members were easily replaceable musicians who didn’t even contribute to music composition. And nowadays, they are more of a brand; people who don’t know who Nirvana is have posters and t-shirts of Nirvana. And statistically, Nirvana was also voted one of the five worst bands of the 90s by rolling stone readers in 2013. Their album Nevermind was considered one of the most overrated albums, according to BBC listeners in 2005.
