What is your favorite recipe to make?

Dear questioner,

This is a tricky question to answer; after all, there are so many great dishes out there, how on earth am I supposed to pick one favorite recipe? It’s important to consider some critical factors, such as how easy the dish is to make. How long does it take to complete? What ingredients are necessary to make the dish? Taking into consideration all these factors, my final decision was… buttered toast. Just kidding, my favorite recipe to make is Focaccia (Foe-ka-sha), a flat-leavened, oven-baked Italian bread. This dish is absolutely incredible; here’s why:

Most Italian dishes are tasty, as they are deep-rooted into Italian culture and have been perfected over the hundreds of years of their existence. Focaccia is no exception to this. The earliest known form of Focaccia was made in ancient Rome, where a flatbread was baked on a hearth. Since then, it has developed and changed for the better, and there are now hundreds of different recipes for it.

Focaccia is fluffy and soft, and the large amounts of olive oil in the recipe give it a delicious underlying flavor. Many say Focaccia is a type of pizza, but since Focaccia is left to rise after being flattened, while pizza is instead baked immediately, it is not technically a pizza. Though if you are a pizza fan, then I’m sure that you’ll enjoy Focaccia

Sure, all of that is great, but the best thing about making Focaccia is how much creative liberty you have. Similar to when you make pizza, you can add whatever toppings you want: olives, onions, pepperoni, etc. Focaccia is also very simple, and for beginner chefs, will most likely yield good results. In my experience, it has always turned out well.

Hopefully, this was helpful. I’ll link a pretty good, basic Focaccia recipe at the bottom in case you want to give it a try. Anyway, thanks for the question, and have a great day.

Haiku for Focaccia:

Focaccia is yum,

I want it in my tum tum.

Wait I ate too much!

(You’re welcome btw)

Sincerely,

Dear Letterbox
