Apes are large in numbers and know how to communicate and use tools. They have sharp claws and teeth, and they are much stronger than an average human. So in a 1v1 situation, a human would lose. However, we have tanks, nuclear weapons, and missiles. We can use unmanned drones and atomic weapons to clear out half of their population. And our ability to cooperate flexibly and in large numbers would eventually overpower the apes. The humans take the obvious dub.
