Why

Dear Questioner,

Why not?

Everyone says to question the meaning of things and to be a "critical thinker". They say you should constantly ask "why" things happen. Why, why, why. I propose we abandon this inquisitive modern way of thinking. Why ask why, when you could ask "why not"?

For example, instead of asking "Why is the sky blue?", ask "Why isn’t the sky blue?" Do we have any reason for why the sky SHOULDN'T be blue!? Here's another example; "Why does this girl not like me?" Instead, ask yourself, "Why doesn't this girl not like me?"

Does that make sense? Honestly, I have no idea, but the point I'm trying to make is that you don't need to constantly question everything. Not everyone is gonna like this, so ye be warned, but the truth is, some things are just the way they are, and you can never truly understand them. Yes, it's still important to think critically and strive to understand the world around us, but at a certain point, we need to learn to accept that we won't have an answer for everything.

Is that a super pessimistic way of thinking? Maybe. But why not think like that?

Sincerely,

Dear Letterbox
