Factors like school and problems in relationships can cause a lot of necessary stress that needs to be taken care of. There are many good and healthy ways to deal with stress, but it mostly depends on each individual person and what they enjoy. Some people turn to games and social media to distract themselves from their stress, but in reality, doing so doesn’t do much to relieve any of that stress. It is crucial to find ways to de-stress instead of looking for ways to shift attention away from the stress.
We often think of de-stressing as a personal and individual task, but interactions with others is an amazing way to cope with stress. Doing your favorite activity with friends or having a relaxing conversation with family members are some examples of connecting with people to relieve stress. Exercise is also big contributor to de-stressing. Physical activities can ease some of the physical tension you have from stress - the good feeling you get after you exercise definitely helps too.
Lastly, adequate sleep is probably the best way to relieve stress without actively doing something in the day. Sleep is often overlooked when stress is mentioned, but it has an enormous impact on the way stress affects your body. Good rest is something to keep in mind always, but especially when thinking about ways to deal with stress.
