What is Movember?

Hi!

We're glad you asked.

Movember is an annual event allowing involving growing out one's facial hair for 30 days, hence Movember (mustache + November). The goal for Movember is to raise awareness for men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide. Movember started in 2003 from Australia, Travis Garone and Luke Slattery jokingly decided to bring back in fashion the moustache by convincing their friends to grow one. Inspired by a friend's mother who was fundraising for breast cancer, they associated the moustache with the pink ribbon, but for men.

In collaboration with STUCO and WellCo, ISB is bringing Movember live in action, selling mustache masks and raffle tickets at 5 RMB each, you could contribute your support in men's health and mental health issues. Using the raffle tickets that you have purchased, you could vote for teachers that you wanted to get PIE IN THE FACE the most, and STUCO will pie the teacher in the face on November 25th pep ralley before the early end of school for Great Wall Shoot Out.

Come and support Movember and Men’s health awareness!

Sincerely,

Dear Letterbox
